Big Boy

The month of January wizzed by!  I can’t believe how fast time flies…. Cooper is getting so big.  We had to take him for haircut number 2 on Saturday!  He is so much fun these days.  He is talking (or babbling) up a storm and is very independent.  He loves school and all his friends up there.  We had a scratching incident on Monday- a little kid in Coop’s class scratched his face and neck.  He is doing better though.

We have family pictures on Saturday for the church bulletin so hopefully those will turn out well and I will post them on the blog for all to see.  Our appointment time is kind of late so I am hoping the Man is in a good mood.  :)

Here are the latest pictures of the Man….

Cooper

Here’s Cooper, Daddy and Molly checking out the fridge….  I am still trying to figure out how to upload directly from the Flip onto the blog.  If anyone knows how to do this- please let me know.  For some reason wordpress can’t find the videos in the library….  might be user error though.  :)

Brrrrr…….

Cooper loves it when we say ‘Brrrr…’ and shiver.  He likes to imitate us and laugh his head off.  It has been cold down here so far this year… I thought we lived in Texas?!?!?!

The big news of 2010 is that Cooper has moved up to another class at school!  They no longer have cribs and high chairs.  Instead it is nap mats and proper tables and chairs.  Of course on one of the first days, Cooper  got into it with another kid over a chair- the other kid won because Cooper had scratches all over his face.  Apparently Cooper’s favorite thing is to move the chairs around the room- shocking.  :)   In his new class he also gets to go outside- weather permitting.  He loves to be outside so I am very glad about this.  They have their own little playground so we don’t have to worry about him interacting with even bigger kids.

Here are some new pictures of the Man….

He still loves electronics....

Hanging out in his new chair.

After we 'hid' the wagon and the car outside he found other methods of transportation around the house...

Trying to teach Molly to pull him around.

He convinced Aunt Becki to push him around.... sucker!

Wearing his Cowboys shirt for the big game- Daddy went without him this time.... next year.

Daddy took this picture- apparently the Man got stuck in Molly's bowl the other day.... Daddy said it was the funnies thing ever!

Texas, texas yee haw!!!!

Big game tonight for the horns! The man is ready….

White Christmas

The Man’s second Christmas was covered in snow!  He had a great time hanging out with Mawka, Grandad, Mimi and Granna!  We had a full house Christmas Day and it was so fun.  Aunt Jill and Uncle Greg came over with presents once some of the snow and ice melted.  Cooper loves his new wagon, chair and car.  We hope everyone else had a great Christmas too!

That night after school we decided to take him to GattiTown (similar to Chuck E. Cheese) to let him check out the pizza and games.  I wasn’t sure if he would be into it or if the stuff would be too old for him….. he LOVED it!!!!  See some of the action shots below…..

December 8, 2008 6:31 pm

I can’t believe it has been 1 year since our lives were forever changed!  It seems like just yesterday we were arriving at the hospital on a cold Sunday night waiting to find out if we would be parents to a little boy or girl.  I will never forget the Cervadil (spelling?) that was administered before I went to bed on Sunday night.  I will also never forget the screaming from the woman giving birth naturally in the room next door.  I will never forget Zach being able to sleep on the most uncomfortable couch, through the screaming.  I will never forget Dr. Norwood coming to check on me early Monday morning and starting the Petocin.  I will never forget laying in the hospital bed that morning having contractions but never dilating.  I will definitely never forget getting terrible pains in my side before receiving the Epidural.  I will never forget the monitor showing our baby’s heartrate dropping as the Petocin drip increased and my blood pressure dropping as well.  I will never forget Dr. Norwood advising us to have a c-section to ensure less stress on the baby.  I will never forget the concern on Zach’s face as they wheeled us into the operating room.  I will never forget the eternity it took after the baby was born to find out whether it was male or female.  I will never forget the excitement and joy of holding Charles Cooper for the first time.  I will never forget the feeling of fear and responsibility that comes with the birth of a child.

What a wonderful day that was.  What an even more wonderful day today is, one year later.  We have been blessed with the most handsome, smartest, funniest, most charismatic, friendliest, happiest, advanced baby boy!!!  Every day of this past year has been more fun than the day before (except maybe some of those teeth cutting days :) ).

In one year Cooper has learned to hold his head up. Smile. Drink from a bottle.  Roll over.  Sit up.  Eat rice cereal.  Eat baby food.  Clap his hands.  Crawl Backward.  Crawl forward.  Stand up.  Feed himself.  Drink from a sippy cup.  Drink from a straw.  Wave.  Say Dada, Mama, Uh oh, dog and sometimes up.  Walk.  Give Open Mouthed Kisses.  Signal touchdown with his arms.  Sign more and all done.

I told you he was advanced…. :)

“One” of a kind….
